skyBuilders timeLines consists of a number of product suites, service modules, and webtop tools needed to increase enterprise productivity through a web portal.
A product suite includes one or more web service modules, many of which are licensable separately. Purchase only what you need now, while knowing that you may add additional modules later with the confidence that new service modules will be fully integrated with your enterprise database and with each other.
Our skyBox turnkey hardware/software systems provide everything a small organization needs to host their own web application server.
All skyBuilders products and services are sold, delivered, supported, and upgraded over the web with sophisticated XML technology.
skyNetworks
Our networking tools are combinations of hardware and software that provide an enterprise with secure, fault-tolerant, easily managed redundant connections to the Internet.
There are several skyNetworks products:
- skyWalls - A GNU/Linux Firewall in a skyBox.
- skyPipes - Connections to multiple (2 to 4 or more) ISPs over different backbones to provide high Internet availability, failover and fault tolerance.
- skyMonitors - Continuous monitoring of skyServers (web, mail, DNS, etc.). Reports of outages by email and paging services. Graphic timeLined reports of uptime for each server and Internet connection.
- skyTunnels - VPN connections to other skyServers, and VPN client access to skyServers.
- skyRoutes - Policy-based and Cost-based routing.
skyBuilders Services
skyBuilders Services include the consulting, training, development, hosting and support needed to manage an enterprise over the web though a web services portal.
- Site Evaluation
- we visit your web site, examine its size, architecture, content, look and feel, navigation methods, and overall usability.
We make recommendations in five areas, and provide a cost and time estimate for conversion to a database-backed website with portal and content management.
- Development
- A skyBuilders Development Site puts a copy of your current web site on our development servers, visible to you at address http://yoursite.skybuilders.com.
- Site Hosting
- skyBuilders is an ISP (Internet Service Provider) hosting about 75 web sites, mostly developmental sites. Backups hourly and daily. Weekly backup to CD-ROMs. Massive UPS. Redundant Internet connections (Dual T1 lines, Dual NICs, Dual LANs). Site Monitor. WebTrends reports. Domain Name management.
- Turnkey Site
- All the software and hardware, from the operating system to the web servers, database servers, and mail servers needed to put your enterprise management system on the web in a fully configured rackmount skyBox.
- Training

Future Modules
Modules under development include:

skyJournals. A "blogging" tool to create personal or group "web logs" or "blogs" for short. Journal entries are time-stamped and arranged chronologically. They may be searched, and sorted to show only a limited time range.

skyMail. Web-based email. SMTP and POP3 and support for attachments. Each organization member gets an email account. Enforces unique username at the organization level.

skyMailer. A mailing list manager (multiple list servs).

skyPorter translates timeLine serverPages between server-side languages (VBScript to Perl or PHP, etc.).

skyRemote allows a skyBuilder to maintain (edit, upgrade, and archive/backup) serverPages and databases on a remote server. XML-data is exchanged between remote servers and the skyBuilders master web site.
Product pricing depends on the type of organization, the server computer platform, and the relational database.
